apophyllite | PLAINS of  STONE

Like our own bodies, Apophyllite stones have a high water content, which gives them the ability to conduct electricity.

Apophyllite is named from a combination of the Greek word "apo" - to be off, and "phyllos" - leaf, alluding to the property of this mineral that it exfoliates (flakes apart like a leaf) when heated due to loss of water in its structure.

The translucent aspects of this stone reflect the environmental light like unto one’s spirit shining forth in daily activities.
