~Ammonite~

Ammonite fossil shells usually take the form of planispirals and represent the ever expanding symmetry of a centered life.

As one ages our spheres of life broaden and expand with each experience; every new stage building from and expanding on the last. Pliny the Elder called fossils of these animals ammonis cornua ("horns of Ammon") because the Egyptian god Ammon (Amun) was typically depicted wearing ram's horns.

Often carried as a token, the pleasant natural texture and symmetry of the Ammonite create both tactile harmony and visual peace.
